Greetings from Allen Lima Leadership!

As we look forward to Springtime and warmer weather, I wanted to share the latest news from Allen Lima Leadership with our ALL Newsletter.

We are just past the halfway mark of the Adult Signature Class of 2020!

This year’s ALL class is the largest class in the history of ALL. We have 34 members in the 2020 class. The class is an extraordinary group of professionals from a variety of organizations and walks of life.

Since our September Orientation launch, we have had the opportunity to dive deep into leadership training and skill sets with the class ( led in part by ALL alum David Gratz, Gratz and Associates. ) with the book: The Book of Leaders, “ How Vision, Alignment, & Execution, will change the way you lead, by Author Julie Straw. We understand how important it is to give our class members leadership lessons that they can bring back and apply to their own organizations.

I am a huge consumer of leadership books, articles, videos, and podcasts. I believe we are either getting better or going backwards each and every day. The good news is; we can improve daily with all of the leadership resources at our fingertips. In fact, I have recently launched my own podcast, Matt’s Chats

“ ON LEADERSHIP “ . The podcast is an opportunity for me to sit down and visit with local and regional leaders here in Northwest Ohio. In addition, the Lima News has generously partnered with me to showcase leaders and their perspective on Leadership in the 21stCentury. You can find the podcast on Spotify & Google Play. My column runs every other Sunday in the Lima News Business Section!

We have had a great handful of months gaining “ back stage access “ to many of our communities best assets. (Agriculture/Farming, “ Tank Plant”, Ohio Means Jobs, Secondary & Higher Ed, Diversity Day, & More!)

Leadership, Community Awareness, The Class Project, & Being a resource for non-profits are the 4 Pillars of Allen Lima Leadership. We practice these pillars each class/month.

We continue to point toward the “ Shark Tank “ style Class Impact Project this Spring. The class has divided into 3 groups and will present to our panel of judges. The winning “ impact project “ will be presented at graduation and the entire class will then execute this winning project!

We are also proud to have a brand new Alumni Committee for our 700 plus Alumni.

Please save the date for our Alumni gathering Thursday April 23rd at Westgate Entertainment Center from 6-7:30pm. Free of Charge.

Also, please save the date for our inaugural

“ Leadership & Legends Evening”. A night of Leadership at UNOH on Monday May 18, 2020.

“ ALL was a great experience!” It gave me a broader look at our community. ALL is a great opportunity to network and huge in terms of learning our community. “ – Mike Swick President & CEO of Lima Memorial Health System and ALL Class of 2001

Special Thanks to our dedicated Board member and Past Chair Scott Unverferth for his 2 year tenure as Chairman of the ALL Board. Thanks for your Leadership Scott!
