SERVING THE COMMUNITY

Paying it forward

ALL adult and youth graduates develop a deeper understanding of their community, and build an increased capacity to serve it. Because of this, classes create and execute community service projects. Each project, like each class, is unique.

Some well-known efforts include the ALL Teddy Bear Fund, Love Luggage, and our own ALL Youth program.

ALL Teddy Bear Fund

ALL Teddy Bear Fund

The ALL Class of 2005 rejuvenated a Lima tradition that stretches back to the 1940s. The Fund provides Teddy bears to children, who may be sick or scared, when visiting Lima Memorial Health System or St. Rita’s Medical Center.

Love Luggage

Created by the Class of 2006, this project provides backpacks to children entering foster care. Filled with items that communicate care, the luggage eases a transition, affirms a child’s value and provides essentials at a chaotic time.
